Configuration and Settings of Mconnect URL Key Opt Extension for Magento® 1

The Configuration of Mconnect URL Key Opt Magento Extension:

Before you proceed with using the extension, you need to do the configuration of the extension as shown below:

1. Sign in to the Magento Extension Administrator Panel.

2. Navigate to 'System' menu and select 'Configuration' menu option.

3. Scroll down to Configuration and find 'M-Connect Media Extensions'.

Click on ‘URL Key Opt’ extension.

4. At the right side, URL Key Opt Screen opens.

There you need to manage two settings for applying for this extension in your Store. Please go through the steps as below:

Product URL settings:

Enabled: Set this field to 'Yes' to enable the URL Key Opt extension at your store.
Allow rename same as product’s Name: Set whether you want this extension to auto rename URL-Key as same as product's name OR NOT in case If duplicates found.
Force rename for ‘Not Visible Individually’: Choose whether you want this extension to auto rename URL-Key for 'Not Visible Individually' products with append of the corresponding Product-ID OR NOT in case if duplicates found.
Frequent URL key appends: Define some Frequent URL key appends [comma (,) separated values] in case If more than one product exists with the same name. And if not defined then Default append value will be: "-from-{corresponding store name}".

Mass Product Import Settings:

Enabled: It executes same functional in case of mass products import as well as by just enabling from settings. [It follows the same settings saved in configurations settings].
