Configuration and Settings of Mconnect Product File Upload Extension for Magento

Before you proceed with using the extension, you need to do the configuration of the extension as shown below:
 
1. Sign in to the Magento configuration panel.     

 
 
2. Navigate to 'system' menu and select 'configuration' menu option.

 
3. Scroll down in Configuration to find 'M-Connect Media Extensions'. Click on 'Product File'.

4. General Settings.
 

• Enabled: Enable this extension by selecting 'Yes' from this field.
• Allowable File Extension: Enter the file formats that you want to support the product.
• To download needs login: It allows only the users who are logged in into their accounts can download the file.
• Redirect to Referrer Page after Login: If 'Yes', then logged in users will be redirected to the file download page. When merchant selects the ‘No’ option, the shopper will redirect to the account page.

 
5. To save the configuration, click on the ‘Save Config’ button.

     
How to Attach File to Multiple Products?
 
1. Navigate to 'Product File' menu and click on 'Product File' menu option.

2. Now click on 'Add Product File' to start attaching a file to products.

3. Product File
 

• Click on the ‘Select Files’ button to select the file and upload the files by pushing ‘Upload’ button.
• Select File: Select the files that you want to upload.
• Status: Keep the extension active at storefront by selecting 'Enabled' option.
      

4. Now click on 'Associated Products' to attach the file to the selected products.

5.  Select the products from the grid.
 
6. To save the products, push the ‘Save Product File, ’ and it may add to the selected products.

 
The file will be added to the selected products.
 
 

 
 
How to Attach Multiple Files to a Product?
 
1. Navigate to 'Catalog' and click on 'Manage Products'.

 
Manage Products Screen opens.
 
2. Select a product to which you want to add a file and click on 'Edit'.

 
3. Now, go to ‘Product files’ section in the ‘Product Information’ section.

 
4. Click on the ‘Select Files’ button to select the file and upload the files by pushing ‘Upload’ button.
 
 
 
5. To save the files click on 'Save' button.

This way you can add files to your products that will be available for download at the storefront.
